Maintenance 101 for Pilots  
   
Course Content
Maintenance 101 for Pilots is designed by certified aircraft maintenance technicians and pilots.  It is geared specifically for the owner/operator of today's light aircraft.  As a participant, you will leave understanding the system of maintenance procedures used in your aircraft.  The morning session will begin with an overview of Part 43.3 on Preventive Maintenance - what can be legally done and ways to actually do it.  This will be followed by a session on understanding the annual inspection.  A comprehensive review of what is covered on an annual inspection and ways you can save money each year in the process.  Following lunch, provided y Spencer Airport, you will take an in-depth look at powerplant management.  A certified aircraft maintenance technician will guide you and answer all your questions.  This class is a hands-on adventure!  Dress accordingly and be ready to get your hands dirty.
 
 
Course Procedure:
Rather than concentrate on entirely lecture format, this workshop will emphasize methods that will encourage pilots to be more proactive in their aircraft.
 
 
Interactive Training:
We found the best way to bridge the gap existing between theoretical knowledge and the know-how needed is to perform useful work.  You will get this by attending Maintenance 101 for Pilots.
 
 
Instructor:
Gregg Andrews will teach the course.  Gregg is an A & P/IA, CFI in SEL & SES, AGI, as well as the owner and manager of the Spencer Airport for 20+ years.  He has an excellent in-depth knowledge of all aspects of general aviation.
